Nouveau Chamber Ballet with Elizabeth Lauritsen as narrator
The non-profit Nouveau Chamber Ballet will take center stage in Sergie Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf and in Aaron Copland's Appalachian Spring. The ballet company was founded in Fullerton by Lois Ellyn in 1988. It appeared with the Rio Hondo Symphony last year at the Children's Concert in a performance of Peter and the Wolf.
A versatile soprano, actress and educator, Elizabeth Holborn Lauritsen is reprising her role as narrator of Peter and the Wolf performed last year at the Rio Hondo Symphony's Children's Concert.

John Sywulka
Jonathan Sywulka, 22-year-old trumpet play from Whittier, was the winner in the woodwinds, brass and percussion category in the Young Artists Competition in January. Currently he is working towards a B.M. in trumpet performance at Biola University in La Mirada. He has studied with Dave Washburn, principal trumpet at the L.A. Chamber and Pasadena Pops orchestras and associate principal trumpet in the L.A. Opera Orchestra.
